The Finnish group Convicted consisted of high school mates Mikko Moilanen, Pekka Leppaluoto, Lauri Jounela and Pasi Vuoti in their home town of Oulu, Finland. The group’s early material was typical to era’s various sub metal genres as evident in the 1993 five-song studio demo “Mental Incarnation”. Later material progressed into fusion jazz death metal, as decribed by Soundi magazine’s Juho Juntunen in a demo review from the time, and as documented in the 1994 three-song studio demo simply called “Convicted”.
